ABOUT US
The Prince Albert River Riders Football Organization began in 2007, providing football skill development for the ages of 13 & 14 with our Bantam program. In 2008, a Pee Wee 12 -man team was added for ages 10 to 12. Both teams play in the Saskatoon Kinsmen Football League. In 2009, with partial sponsorship from the Canadian Football League, a spring 6-A-Side program was formed.

Today, Prince Albert Minor Football offers non-contact skill development programs for participants as young as four years of age, and full contact tackle football programs for children starting at age 9. For our tackle programs, all of the mandatory equipment is provided except cleats and water bottles!
 

HOW TO BECOME A PART OF THE TEAMS
Registrations will be posted online, and we also provide face to face registrations prior to each program.
Costs are:

Non-contact programs- Little Tykes, Indoor Flag: $30.00

6-A-Side -- $100 

Fall 12 man  -- $175

For the contact programs, a $250 equipment deposit is also required, which is returned when all equipment is handed back in at the end of the season.
HOW WE PREPARE
Safety is first, so we understand that we have to prepare these kids fully.
In March, we begin with Indoor Flag Football for ages 8 to 10.
In May & June, the Pee Wee (11-12 yr.olds) and Bantam (13-14) teams hold their annual Spring 6 Aside program, taking what was learned in flag football, and applying it to the field with equipment on, adding one player to each side, and tackling.

Our fall season begins in mid to late August. Games begin in September. The Pee Wee and Bantam teams host games on Max Clunie Field in Prime Ministers' Park on Wednesdays and/or Sundays, or play in Saskatoon on Wednesdays or Sundays (depending on league schedule).
We play 8 regular season games, and have one playoff game guaranteed.
Our season wraps up around the end of October, with our annual awards banquet being in the middle of November.
