River Riders win last game, playoff bound

The Prince Albert Daily Herald
The Prince Albert bantam River Riders wrapped up the regular season with a 14-0 victory over the Ledingham Steelers in Kinsmen Football League action on Wednesday night in Saskatoon.
Graham Pederson and Daris Samson scored the majors for the Riders, who ended up with a 4-3 record on the season.
“It was an awesome night for football,” said Prince Albert coach Ryan Hughes. “Since the third or fourth game we’ve just been playing as a team. The D is going out and getting the ball back, and the offence is punching it in.”
Now the Riders must wait to see what division (A or B) they will be competing in during playoffs.
“We definitely hope we get in A,” said Hughes. “A couple of teams in there beat us and we want another crack at them.”
Playoffs begin next week.
**UPDATE: WE WENT TO THE A SIDE!
